In two months time, the niece will be celebrating her 9th birthday. The family is thinking of giving her a simple children’s party since we did not able to have it last year. The niece so wanted to have her own children’s party one day. We did to it on her previous birthdays because we wanted it that her experience would be a memorable one for her. At her age right now, we can tell that she would surely enjoy her party with her friends because of her age. This will be a sort of surprise party for her and I am pretty sure that she would love this.

The family is helping each other to make her party a success one. We are assigning who will prepare the balloons, foods, loot bags for the niece visitors, table and cheers and prizes for the games. Fortunately, I am the one who is assigned to do the prizes for the games. I have buying biscuits, kiddie toy and candies to put in the loot bags and prizes for the games. The kid loves candies so much, I am thinking of buying : American Candy as prizes for the games. I am sure that the kids would surely love to win to get this yummy prize because kids loves to eat sweets. This candy as a prize would make kids happy. And also, I would love to buy this as a present to my love ones this coming valentine’s day. Perfect prizes and present for special occasions.

Rearranging the living room

I was sitting on the chair and just looking every corner of the house. I decided to rearrange it again since no one can disturb me because the kids are sleeping as well as my father. I started moving the chairs, center table, sound system, television and all the things I put in the living room. I like arranging things when no one is around because no one will bothers me what I am doing. Especially my father who always disturbing me by asking what I am doing and why I always change the position and the look of the living room. I just laugh at him and not paying attention to him.

Before lunch I am done arranging the living room and I am happy to see the new look of the living room. I was relaxing when the father woke up from sleeping and said, “wala ka’y mahimo noh?”. It is our dialect which means, you are bored I guess. I just look at him because I am used to it every time I rearrange the living room. I am glad he is not mad like the last time I did it. Instead he said, it looks better than before. Makes me think that he also is bored with the old arrangement of the living room. I am glad they like the new look and smiled at me. For the first time, the family appreciate what I did to the living room.

Letter from my niece

One day I visited a friend’s house. I saw her daughter playing different games in the computer. The games are educational and it is helpful for the kids who are just started learning. I thought of downloading it to my computer so that the nieces can play and learn. After downloaded the site in my computer, I showed to the nieces the games and on what to do to be able to get in the site and play. My intention was good because I want them to learn more. I love watching them playing because I can tell that they are thinking and making analysis on what to do next. Apparently, there is bad thing about it because when they are playing, they are not listening to what I say. Which makes me mad and thought of deleting the site in my computer. I told them that if they wont listen, I will delete it in my computer but they did not listen. I want to show them that I am serious,so I deleted it in my computer.

I was cleaning the house when I saw a paper that is fold. I am curious, so I open it and read what is written on the paper. I was surprised to see that the letter is for me and it was from my niece. In the letter, it says there that she is angry of me because I deleted the site and she is hurt that I do not want them to play. The letter made me smile and regret that I deleted it. But doing it is the best thing to show to them that I mean what I say. I hope that the niece understand what I did and realized why I deleted it.

I miss doing the cross stitch

I started doing cross stitching as a project at school. Since then I am hooked up and it has become my hobby. I have collections of different patterns to stitch but did not able to do it all. Out of the ten that I have collected years back, I have only done five of it. I do not have time then because I am a bit busy at school. I cannot do both studying and stitching at the same time because time is very hectic. Doing it is quiet expensive for a student like me. And also, cross stitching takes lots of time to make a single pattern. So, I decided to put cross stitching stuffs in a box and do it when I have lots of time.

Today, while cleaning the house I saw the framed cross stitch pattern. Suddenly, I miss doing it. I check the box where I put the needles, threads and patterns that I keep for years. It is still there and waiting for me to have time to do it again. I do not have time still because I have other things to do online. It is so sad that I was not able to make the five remaining patterns that I have collected. I hope that one day I will have the time to do it and have it frame to hand it on the wall of our house. Seeing the framed ones makes me smile because at reminds me of my high school and college days. I remember when that I used to bring it at school and do the cross stitching during my free time. Soon I will do cross stitching again and add it to my collections.

Happy that she turns seven

I started teaching Ronna in doing the dishes at the age of eight years old. I want her to become a responsible person when he grows up. Every time I teach her, Ella always watching and sometimes asked me if she can help. I am not allowing her because she is younger than Ronna. I told her that I will teach her when she reach the age of eight. While Ronna is doing the dishes, I asked Ella to sweep the floor so that she won’t bother Ronna. She is a very helpful girl compared to Ronna but I cannot allow her to help because Ronna gets mad when Ella is around. Though they are friends, sometimes they fight when Ella is messing with her.

January 7, 2012 is the birthday of Ella and she turns seven. I was preparing the salad when she come near to me and whispered “isa nalang kulang”, which means one more year she will turn eight. I am surprised because she remembers what I told her. She is indeed a good girl to remember it and reminded me. She is not only happy that it is her birthday but also happy that she is seven and one more year she will do the dishes. I am happy with my nieces and I pray that they will be a better person when they grow up.

Have to work double time

I haven’t been here for days because I am not feeling really well. Because I have flu, I’d rather sit down or lay down to rest rather than to face the computer and use my not working brain to make a post. Yes, this is how badly this flu is attacking me. I do not have the energy to do my stuffs online because I am keep on sneezing and coughing. Plus my eyes are teary. Makes me very lazy to stay online. Though I am online, I am not in the mood to do my stuffs.

I am feeling better now and ready to blog again. Because of being absent for days, I have to double my effort to make blog updates to give my readers and visitors new post to read. Though it is just a simple post, I made it with love and passion. I felt so sorry for I haven’t been here to update my blog. This blog is so dear to me because this is my first ever blog and has sentimental value. Another year is over and another year of blogging. I will work double time to keep this blog updated for you to keep visiting and give some of your time to read my post. Happy New Year Everyone! A bit late greetings and I am sorry for that.

First day of school

After the two weeks holiday vacation, the kids will be going back to school today. They are still in a vacation mood, but nothing they can do but to wake up early and getting ready for school. I can see the faces of my two nieces that they do not want to go to school today however, they should because they have lots of things to do in preparation for their upcoming third grading exam. Their movement is in slow-mo for they are not in the mood yet. I remember when I was their age, I do not want to go back to school right away after the vacation and the sister will always yell at me.

The house is so quiet after the kids left for school. The ambiance that I do love for I can take some rest and have some time for myself. The house is so noisy and messy when kids are around. I am so glad that they go back to school today. Less stress and not so tiring day for me. I will get enough sleep and have a long nap to regain the energy I have lost preparing for the holiday celebration and the birthday celebration. Time to rest now. Happy New Year Everyone!

The surprise present

Yesterday was the first birthday celebration of my nephew. And one of the invited visitor is my friend who happens to be the godmother of my nephew. I did not expect her to come because of the rainy weather and also we did have a miscommunication few weeks ago. But she did come and I am so glad to see her. My happiness was double because she gave me a very nice present. I am so surprised and so happy of the present she gave me. The present is a beaded headband that I so wanted to buy for myself.

Because I am so excited of the surprise present, I try it after she left to go home. I was stretching it to put on my head when the tie that connect the rubber and the beads breaks. I do not know what happen. Maybe my head is too big for the headband or the tie is not that strong. I felt like crying seeing the present that I got on Christmas day is broken. I am trying to fix it but I do not think I can fix it anymore. I just keep it in my drawer and I hope I can fix it one day. I am so sorry my friend that I broke the present you gave to me.

Enjoy the ride to South Africa

One of my greatest dreams in life is to visit other country. It would be a dream come true if I am able to visit at least one of the countries here in the world. If given the chance to visit other country, I would definitely choose South Africa. I have heard about the nicest tourist spots in the country that makes me excite to see the country for real. I would bring the whole family for us to enjoy the place. And for us to enjoy the place more, we will contact car hire South Africa to bring us to the places we want to visit. Good thing there are businesses like car rental that helps the travelers and tourists enjoy the place. It is an advantage to rent a car because it is less hassle compared to ride in a public vehicle or train. With their kind of services rendered, I am pretty sure the whole family will enjoy the ride to South Africa. The adventure of the whole family will be a memorable one.

On Panicked Buying

The sister is very much busy preparing the things needed for the first birthday celebration of her son. She done it personally to make sure everything is okay according to her plan. She is happy because all is ready however, she realized she forgot to buy her son clothes to wear on his special day. We then rush to the nearest department store to buy her son a t-shirt and a shorts.

When we reached to the department store, we are shocked because shoppers are on panicked buying. We do not have any choice but to start looking for shirts and shorts for my nephew. It took us two hours to finally decide of what to buy. We feel relieved because we are finally done. But when we look at the cashiers area, the line is a bit long.arghs! This is what I hate when buying things on rush hours. In times like this, my patience are being tested and I ma so glad I have plenty of it. I fall in line and patiently waiting for my turn. Good thing the cashier in-charge moves fast. It only took me 30 minutes of standing and waiting. I am glad we are done and we can relax tomorrow to get our self ready for the small birthday party…
